Asia rises as Wall Street selloff stops, kiwi tumbles

MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan rose 0.1 percent. Tokyo's Nikkei (.N225) added 1 percent while Australian shares gained 0.9 percent and South Korea's Kospi advanced 0.5 percent.
